Manchester City superstar’s father reignites future Real Madrid move: ‘There is always a chance’ The possibility of an Erling Haaland Real Madrid move has once again become a major talking point after fresh comments from his father, Alfie Haaland, reignited long-standing transfer speculation surrounding the Manchester City striker. For years, Real Madrid have been linked with the Norwegian superstar , and the latest comments from Haaland’s father are certain to attract attention.  While there is no indication that an immediate deal is on the cards, the conversation around Haaland to Real Madrid simply refuses to disappear. He’s very happy at Manchester City, he’s on a long-term contract and we’re looking forward to the new season.” Quite clearly, the Manchester City striker remains settled in England, but it has not stopped fresh Real Madrid transfer news from emerging. Interest in the Norwegian striker has existed for several years, with previous reports even suggesting that there had been discussions involving Haaland during Real Madrid’s presidential election campaigns . Would I like to see him at Real Madrid? Maybe, maybe.  “There’s always a chance in football; there are fantastic clubs in Spain and you never know, but at the moment he’s happy in England,” he said. It must be noted that the Norwegian striker played a decisive role in Norway’s victory over Brazil in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16, scoring twice in a memorable 2-1 win to send his side into the World Cup quarter-finals.
