'Good offer' leads to Jensen leaving Aberdeen for Elfsborg
Alexander Jensen is returning to Sweden [SNS] Elfsborg have signed full-back Alexander Jensen from Aberdeen for an undisclosed fee, with Dons manager Stephen Robinson saying the Swedish club had made "a good offer". Dane Jensen, 24, played 55 times for Aberdeen following his January 2025 move, scoring once. He previously played for two clubs in his homeland and is returning to Sweden after playing for Brommapojkarna before moving to Pittodrie. He helped the Dons win the 2025 Scottish Cup final. "We received a good offer from Elfsborg for Alex and it's one we all felt was right," Robinson told the Aberdeen website. "Alex is a great lad who always gave his best for the club, but I was honest with him in saying that he probably wouldn't be an automatic starter next season. "There is already strong competition in that area of the pitch with Nicky Devlin and Dylan Lobban, while both Lewis Mayo and Brad Lyons are also comfortable playing there. "Despite that, Alex has continued to train brilliantly and conduct himself in an exemplary manner. I can't speak highly enough of his professionalism. "He leaves with a Scottish Cup winner's medal and the thanks of everyone at Pittodrie and Cormack Park. We wish him every success back in Sweden."
