Real Madrid midfield duo attracting strong interest from Premier League heavyweights

Real Madrid midfield duo attracting strong interest from Premier League heavyweights A couple of seasons ago, it would be unthinkable to consider Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni as saleable assets for Real Madrid. After all, both Frenchmen were brought in for the long haul and started off life at the Spanish capital with great performances. Since then, however, a lot has changed and both players have seen a relative fall in their prominence. While Tchouameni still remains a starter, Camavinga is nowhere close to how important he used to be. Unsurprisingly, both stars are linked with exits from the club this summer with Real Madrid looking desperately for a big-name departure to channel in funds. Mundo Deportivo provides an update on the situations of both players. Manchester United are looking for Tchouameni Manchester United want Tchouameni. The Red Devils see the player as the perfect replacement for Casemiro and have him marked as a top target. They have been scouting him for a long time now, but they are now willing to pay the premium Real Madrid demand. The hypothetical sale of Tchouameni will take place for a fee of over €100 million should the two parties reach an agreement and the player be open to the move. As matters stand, however, Mourinho does have the Frenchman in his plans and the player has no intention of leaving. Camavinga’s situation is different Contrary to his compatriot, Camavinga is not in Mourinho’s plans and even knows that he will not have a prominent role next season. Real Madrid, however, are open to listening to offers for the midfielder. Once again, Premier League clubs are the ones at the player’s doorstep including Manchester City and Liverpool. They are maintaining a close eye on Camavinga and will pounce if the player shows any willingness to move. Needless to say, it is interesting that both Real Madrid’s exit-linked Frenchmen have attracted interest from England and it remains to be seen if either transfer goes through. With Los Blancos desperately needing a sale, it is likely that they will push for at least one of the two departures.
