It has been reported that Sian Rogers, Leanne Cowan, Charlie Devlin and Sophie O’Rourke have all agreed to sign on again at Bramall Lane for an extended period. After retaining Rogers, Cowan, Devlin and O’Rourke’s services for an extended period, Sheffield United head coach Stephen Healy said “We’re delighted to get four really important members of our squad tied down ahead of the new season. “Not only do they all bring a lot of quality on the pitch, all four bring an invaluable amount of experience to the environment we are trying to develop here when you look at their various experiences both at this club and in the women’s game in general. “Charlie brings real quality, goals and creativity to the top end of the pitch, Sian was superb in goal from when I arrived at the club in January, Leanne has been an ever-present and brings a calm head to the backline, and similar with Soph whose return will be invaluable once she’s completed her rehabilitation. “All four understand exactly what it means to represent this football club and this city, and that matters to me. As we continue to build for the future, keeping a core group like this together gives us a foundation of experience and identity that you simply can’t replace.” Further Sheffield United squad news will be announced in due course.
