'This city gave me more than football' - Tonali
[Getty Images] Sandro Tonali says it was "time to say goodbye" to Newcastle and manager Eddie Howe, but "it's hard to find the right words". Tonali, who joined Newcastle from AC Milan for £55m in July 2023, signed for Tottenham on Monday in a deal which could be worth £100m. "Thank you to the staff and my team-mates for believing in me and helping me grow," he wrote on social media. "A special mention to the gaffer, Eddie, who's been a real guiding figure and who always had my back throughout this journey. "This city gave me more than football.
