Auxerre and Lorient interested in Lens’ Hervé Koffi
Auxerre and Lorient interested in Lens’ Hervé Koffi SCO Angers were not in a position to retain Hervé Koffi, who spent last season on loan at the club from RC Lens. The Burkina Faso international’s numbers put him among the best goalkeepers in Europe’s top five leagues last season, however, Le SCO remain in a precarious financial situation and unable to spend. Whilst they would have liked to have kept Koffi, they were instead obliged to search elsewhere. They instead signed Anthony Lopes on a free transfer, following the expiry of his contract at FC Nantes. Koffi has, therefore, returned to Lens. However, there is no prospect of disrupting the established hierarchy. Robin Risser, currently at the FIFA World Cup with the France national team, is the undisputed No.1. It means that Koffi will leave once again this summer. As per a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter , both AJ Auxerre and FC Lorient are interested in the goalkeeper. The latter, now managed by former Angers manager Alexandre Dujeux, are particularly interested in the Burkina Faso international. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
