Key reasons why Hansi Flick believes Julian Alvarez is Barcelona’s perfect signing Replacing Robert Lewandowski has become one of Barcelona’s biggest priorities, and Hansi Flick appears to have made up his mind about who should lead the club’s attack in the years ahead.  While several names have been discussed internally, the German coach continues to believe that Julian Alvarez is the forward best suited to transform the Blaugrana’s frontline. Notably, the Argentine remains the club’s first-choice target despite the complexities surrounding negotiations with Atletico Madrid.  Barcelona are prepared to remain patient, convinced that the striker’s qualities and his desire to wear the Blaugrana shirt make the pursuit worth continuing. In fact, according to Mundo Deportivo , Flick has no doubts about the 26-year-old and remains fully committed to bringing him to Camp Nou this summer. Those characteristics are viewed as a perfect fit for Flick’s tactical approach, with the Barcelona coach believing the Argentine would add greater unpredictability to the team’s attacking play while maintaining a consistent goal threat. Within the club, there is a shared belief between Flick, Deco and Joan Laporta that Julian Alvarez is the right player to lead the next phase of Barcelona’s project. Barcelona remain patient Despite making their position clear, Barcelona are still waiting for Atletico Madrid to formally respond to their proposal. Right now, the plan is expected to become clearer once Argentina’s World Cup campaign comes to an end .  If Atletico have still not provided an official response by then, both Barcelona and the player are expected to reassess their strategy in an effort to move negotiations forward.
