The Championship club, who travel to the United States later this month for three pre-season games, are yet to make a new signing. Parkinson said there would be further departures from the Stok Cae Ras following the exit of striker Paul Mullin last month. "As ever it's patience, making sure we can hold our nerve to get the right players in who we feel can make a difference," Parkinson told BBC Sport Wales. Wrexham face Leeds in Tampa on Sunday, 26 July before taking on Liverpool in New York and Sunderland in Pennsylvania. Parkinson said: "I'd love to be able to be taking a couple of new signings on that tour. If it happens, great, if it doesn't then we'll work like we did when we were in Australia [last year]. "All the time over there we were working on the recruitment and we didn't let it impact on formulating the squad we wanted." Fan favourite Mullin left the club by mutual consent while midfielder Tom O'Connor completed a permanent move to Peterborough United. "Of course, along that journey players are going to have to go because of numbers which we've worked on with Paul going," Parkinson added. "Mo Faal has signed for Port Vale on a year's loan and one or two others need to go out as well." Parkinson's five great years at Wrexham but work to do The Big Interview - Five years of Phil Parkinson Championship clubs are now having to work within the new financial framework of Squad Cost Rules (SCR) which has replaced profit and sustainability. That, Parkinson said, along with the World Cup were reasons as to why transfer activity at present was "slow." "We've got to operate within the rules and we're working on ways to do that to give us the best squad going forward," said Parkinson. "But equally we've got a good group of players in the building. We've got to remember that we've got a squad which came close last year. "We know, as everybody's saying, the division is going to be harder. You look at the teams that have come down and the teams which are going to improve in the division. "We understand that and we're not kind of resting on our laurels. We'll naturally just evolve from last year. "We know we've got to work on the squad, and we will do, but it's going to take a bit of time."
