Ipswich Town sign midfielder Palmer
Ipswich Town sign midfielder Palmer Ipswich Town have completed the signing of midfielder Aimee Palmer on a free transfer. The Tractor Girls announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website this afternoon. The 25-year-old joins Ipswich Town after leaving former club Southampton last month. Palmer has signed a three-year deal at Portman Road. Palmer has won Barclays WSL2 with former clubs Manchester United and Bristol City. She also turned out for Sheffield United and latest club Southampton in the second tier. The midfielder made 16 appearances for Southampton in Barclays WSL2 last season, scoring two goals. On the international stage, Palmer featured for England at various youth levels earlier in her career. After joining Ipswich Town, Palmer said “I’m really excited to be here at Ipswich. “After a few calls with Sean [Burt] and David [Wright] listening about the plans here, the decision was a no-brainer for me. “I have a lot of experience to add to the group having won this league twice in my career, and I now can’t wait to get to work with all my new teammates.” Palmer is Ipswich Town’s fifth signing of what is turning out to be a very busy summer transfer window for the club.
