Monaco’s CEO says it is ‘normal’ for clubs to be interested in Folarin Balogun, Maghnes Akliouche, & Lamine Camara AS Monaco are needing to sell this summer, having missed out on qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League. Three high-value assets are touted for departures: Folarin Balogun, Maghnes Akliouche, and Lamine Camara. The former has increased his value thanks to his strong showing at the FIFA World Cup with the USMNT, Akliouche is the subject of a bid from Paris Saint-Germain, and Camara is heavily linked with the Premier League. Speaking at a press conference attended by Get French Football News, Monaco’s CEO, Thiago Scuro, evoked the interest in the trio. “It is normal that clubs are interested in players like Akliouche, Balogun and Camara. If we can find a fair agreement for Monaco, we can find it tomorrow. If that isn’t the case, there will be no agreement,” he said. For the Principality club, there is no desperation to sell. “We need to find financial solutions, not necessarily by selling Akliouche or Balogun. We need to find the right balance in terms of transfers this summer,” added Scuro. Another lever is offloading top earners. Scuro confirmed that talks had been held with the agents of Eric Dier, one of the top earners, about an exit this summer. GFFN | Luke Entwistle – reporting from Monaco
