St Helens sign Hull FC forward Cartwright on loan
Jed Cartwright made 23 appearances for Hull FC after joining from Newcastle Knights in 2024 [Getty Images] St Helens have signed Hull FC second rower Jed Cartwright on an initial one-month loan deal, with a view to signing him for the rest of the season. The 29-year-old has made seven appearances for the Black and Whites this year. He could make his debut for injury-hit Saints, who have lost five of their past six matches, against Toulouse on Sunday. "We're obviously short on troops, so the opportunity to bring someone of Jed's quality on board was too good to miss," head coach Paul Rowley told the club website. The Australian, son of former Catalans Dragons coach John Cartwright, is out of contract with Hull FC at the end of the season.
