Newcastle and Man Utd interested in Williams

Williams is in talks over a new deal at the City Ground, but a number of Forest's top-flight rivals are keen on the 25-year-old. It is understood Newcastle and Manchester United are among the clubs to have registered interest in Williams while talks over a new contract with Forest continue. Forest remain confident that Williams will agree to stay with them, but interest in the full-back does create a potential obstacle. Williams has three years to run on his current deal and Forest want to reward him with an improved contract after his impressive displays last season. Williams joined Forest from Liverpool in July 2022 for a fee of £12m and has made over 150 appearances for the club.
