Roma in contact with Frankfurt winger Can Uzun
Roma in contact with Frankfurt winger Can Uzun Roma continues to move forward in the transfer market in search of an attacking winger. Following the failed arrival of Mason Greenwood, sporting director Tony D’Amico has intensified contacts on several fronts, identifying Dan Ndoye and Can Uzun as two key targets to strengthen Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad. The two options remain open and could become more concrete in the coming days, once the renewal process is completed. The club is ready to formalize the contract extensions of “senators” Paulo Dybala, Zeki Celik, and Lorenzo Pellegrini, in addition to those already finalized for Gianluca Mancini until 2030 and Bryan Cristante until 2029. As reported by ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ , D’Amico has turned his attention to some of the most interesting prospects on the European scene. Ndoye, currently at Nottingham Forest, is already familiar with Italian football thanks to his experience with Bologna, while Uzun, an attacking midfielder for Eintracht Frankfurt, is one of the most sought-after young talents at international level. Regarding Uzun, the Giallorossi director has already initiated contact with both the German club and the player’s agents, the same ones handling the interests of Nicolò Tresoldi, another name being monitored by Roma. The move to acquire the Turkish talent promises to be a demanding one financially. Eintracht values the 2005-born player at around €45 million, although there’s scope for more favorable terms. The player’s qualities, moreover, are beyond question. Long considered one of the Bundesliga’s brightest talents, Uzun has already begun to establish himself with the Turkish national team, making two appearances at the World Cup, against Paraguay and the United States. D’Amico will continue to work on the project, convinced that the youngster represents a promising investment for Roma’s future.
