Mourinho has six options but only one dream signing for Real Madrid’s right flank

Mourinho has six options but only one dream signing for Real Madrid’s right flank Real Madrid’s search for a long-term solution on the right wing is expected to become one of the biggest talking points of the summer.  While the club continue to admire Michael Olise, Jose Mourinho is also assessing several players already within his squad before deciding who should make the position their own. According to AS , the Bayern Munich winger remains the profile Real Madrid would ideally like to add , believing his creativity and directness could complete a formidable attacking trio alongside Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappe.  However, with negotiations likely to prove difficult , the coaching staff is simultaneously evaluating the options already available at Valdebebas. That leaves Mourinho with an important decision to make as preparations for the new season continue. Mourinho has several internal solutions Although Real Madrid remain interested in Michael Olise, the club is fully aware that any attempt to prise him away from Bayern Munich will be far from straightforward.  Guler is well-placed to be Real Madrid’s new right winger. Rather than relying on a single transfer, Mourinho has been looking closely at the players capable of operating on the right side of the attack. On that note, Arda Guler appears to be among the strongest candidates, although some feel his greatest influence comes when he operates centrally behind the striker rather than staying wide throughout a match. Brahim Diaz is another player pushing for a bigger role, but his overall numbers were modest. There is a feeling that Moroccan performs better as a substitute rather than a starting player New signing Bernardo Silva also offers another possibility because the Portuguese international built his reputation as one of Europe’s finest right-sided attackers during his time at Manchester City. However, Mourinho is understood to see him primarily as a midfielder capable of controlling games rather than hugging the touchline. Endrick has shown on several occasions that he can operate effectively from the right flank, providing another tactical solution if Mourinho wants greater pace and direct running in the final third. Meanwhile, Franco Mastantuono remains one of the squad’s biggest long-term projects despite an inconsistent first campaign.  The coaching staff feels the Argentine possesses the talent to develop into an important player, although his short-term future is uncertain . Lastly, Rodrygo’s situation is more complicated after suffering a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury.  With his recovery expected to continue until the latter part of 2026, Mourinho cannot rely on him during the opening months of the campaign, increasing the need for another dependable option.
