Galatasaray close to sign Burnley’s Lesley Ugochukwu Galatasaray SK are reportedly on the verge of finalising the signing of Burnley FC’s Lesley Ugochukwu (22), according to information from journalist Fabrizio Romano. Although his contract with the Clarets runs until 2030, the French midfielder is expected to join the Istanbul side shortly on loan with an option to buy, which will become mandatory under certain conditions. An agreement on a deal worth around €30m is said to have been reached between the two clubs. Signed by Burnley from Chelsea for €28m last summer, Ugochukwu has enjoyed a solid season in Lancashire. A starter in 29 of his 38 appearances for the Clarets, the player who came through the Stade Rennais academy even contributed three goals and two assists during the campaign.
