Massive news: Liverpool agree midfielder deal
Massive news: Liverpool agree midfielder deal Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal to sell a first-team star. This one could now move quickly. Reports in Italy suggest Liverpool have agreed a deal to sell Curtis Jones . The Scouser has one year remaining on his contract and is expected to leave the club this summer. Jones fell out of favour under Arne Slot, with most of his game time coming at right-back after Conor Bradley's injury. Lack of any talk about a new contract fuelled speculation that he'd be sold this summer. Inter tried to pick him up last January, however. They made an offer to Liverpool that was rejected - though, it was thought at the time that the Reds considered it. They may even have accepted it if they weren't enduring an injury crisis at the time. Now, however, it seems the stage is set for Jones to depart without much issue. They've been haggling with Liverpool for quite some time now, believing they should get a massive discount because Jones only has one year remaining. That haggling appears to have cost them, though. CDS reports that Nottingham Forest now 'seem' to have an agreement with Liverpool over a transfer. Forest have money to burn and a need for a centre-midfielder after selling Elliot Anderson to Manchester City. Jones appears to be their pick for an immediate replacement, able to slot into the middle - albeit with a different style of play to Anderson. Still, they'll have no problem paying the asking price, while Jones's homegrown status makes him an incredible investment. And one that, quite honestly, Liverpool will come to enormously regret.
