There was a club-to-club agreement between Newcastle United and Freiburg on the transfer of the player, but the 20-year-old is yet to decide on his next destination. Following the ACL injury to Amadou Onana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Aston Villa have intensified their pursuit of Manzambi and are in pole position to land the talented midfielder. Manzambi’s performances in the Europa League final against Aston Villa and his World Cup campaign with his national team have earned him many admirers. Manzambi has scored two goals and provided two assists at the World Cup before his country was knocked out of the quarter-finals of the competition.
