Robinio Vaz suffers knee injury, will be out a few weeks
Robinio Vaz suffers knee injury, will be out a few weeks Roma’s season didn’t get off to a flying start, and the first injuries were reported at Trigoria. Yesterday, July 13th, the players gathered at the training center to kick off the next football season with their first training session. Robinio Vaz, however, had to sit out. The 2007-born Frenchman, who arrived in the January transfer window from Marseille, has suffered a collateral ligament injury in his knee. As reported by Filippo Biafora, he’s expected to be sidelined for a few weeks. He’ll be forced to miss the first home friendlies, but could be fit for the friendly against Cardiff scheduled for August 1st. Vaz’s permanence in the capital isn’t a given. Gian Piero Gasperini wants more experienced players, and has targeted Nicolò Tresoldi of Club Brugge as Malen’s replacement. The Frenchman could remain as a third striker and earn a few appearances, given that the Giallorossi will be playing in three competitions.
