Ipswich Town announce signings of Baker and Weir Ipswich Town have announced the signings of winger Ava Baker and defender Kenzie Weir. The Tractor Girls announced the signings via posts on their official club website earlier today. Ipswich Town confirmed Baker’s arrival first . The 20-year-old winger will spend the 2026/2027 season on loan from Birmingham City. Baker spent the second half of last season on loan at Ipswich Town. She made nine appearances for the Sussex side, scoring one goal. Baker helped Ipswich Town successfully retain their Barclays WSL2 status for another year following their promotion to the division at the end of the 2024/2025 campaign. Ipswich Town’s second deal of the day saw defender Weir return to the club . The 22-year-old has joined Ipswich Town on a permanent deal from Everton. Like Baker, Weir also spent the second half of last season on loan with The Tractor Girls. She made five appearances for Ipswich Town in which she scored two goals. Weir will be hoping to carry her momentum into her permanent spell with the club. Ipswich Town have now added 10 new faces to their squad this summer. The Tractor Girls have assembled a strong squad which should perform well in Barclays WSL2 once the new season gets underway.
