Arsenal confirm new contract for youngster

Arsenal confirm new contract for youngster Remi Lupinski has signed professional terms with Arsenal, a year after joining the academy from MK Dons. Photo via Arsenal.com Arsenal have officially confirmed that young goalkeeper Remi Lupinski has signed his first professional contract with the club. “It feels amazing, a very proud day for me and my family,” Lupinski told the club website. “It’s another milestone reached and I can’t wait for the season to begin. “[The move to Arsenal] was definitely difficult for the first couple of months, but when I settled into the changing room, the performances were coming on pitch as well, so it’s been brilliant. All the coaches have been brilliant. “We have a talented group. [The experience] is very valuable. I took a lot of lessons from every single game, and hopefully I will get more minutes this season.” Photo via MKDons.com As mentioned, Lupinski joined Arsenal from MK Dons on a scholarship deal last year, having been with the MK Dons academy since the age of seven. He even joined the first-team for matchday warmups on occasion. Players are eligible for professional contracts from the age of 17, meaning Lupinski has been eligible for this deal since last October. But given he’d only joined the club so soon before that, Arsenal likely wanted to see how his first season went before offering that contract. Given he’s still young enough to represent the u18s this season, he’ll likely be looking to nail down the first-choice goalkeeper spot under Adam Birchall. Photo via Arsenal.com
