Karim Adeyemi arrives in Barcelona ahead of €22 million move; official presentation next week Karim Adeyemi has officially arrived in Barcelona ahead of completing his move to the Catalan club from Borussia Dortmund. The 24-year-old Germany international landed at Barcelona-El Prat Airport on Wednesday afternoon and is set to become Barcelona’s second signing of the summer ahead of the 2026/27 season. Accompanied by family and close friends, Adeyemi travelled on a private flight from Dortmund, touching down shortly after 4:30 p.m. at the airport’s private terminal. The forward briefly greeted the waiting media upon arrival, clearly excited about joining a club he has supported since childhood. Barcelona organised a discreet but sizeable reception for their new signing, with several black vans waiting to transport Adeyemi and his entourage from the airport. Members of the Mossos d’Esquadra were also present as part of the security operation. Medical and contract to follow According to Mundo Deportivo , Adeyemi is scheduled to undergo his medical examination on Thursday before signing the paperwork that will officially complete his transfer. Barcelona have agreed a deal worth €22 million plus up to €7 million in performance-related bonuses with Borussia Dortmund. The German club will also retain 30% of any future capital gain from a subsequent sale. Once the formalities are completed, Adeyemi is expected to sign a five-year contract running until the summer of 2031. Ready to join Flick The German international is expected to waste little time before beginning work under Hansi Flick. The Barcelona coach knows Adeyemi well, having handed him his senior Germany debut in 2021, and believes the forward’s pace, directness and versatility will add another dimension to the Blaugrana attack.
