Stockport sign Shelbourne midfielder Wood
[Shutterstock] Stockport County have signed attacking midfielder Harry Wood from League of Ireland side Shelbourne FC for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old arrives at Edgeley Park on a three-year deal. Wood has scored 10 goals and made five assists in 24 league appearances during the current campaign. The Hull City academy graduate has European experience, playing in Champions League, Europa League and Conference League qualifiers for the Irish side. He has also had loan spells in the EFL with Scunthorpe United in 2021-2022 and Grimsby Town in 2024. Stockport head coach Jimmy McNulty told the club website: "Harry is a talented player with a versatile blend of attributes that perfectly complement our system, enabling him to play a number of roles."
