Arsenal expected to make formal approach for £100m Premier League forward

Arsenal expected to make formal approach for £100m Premier League forward Arsenal are stepping up their pursuit of Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.  The Gunners have made Rogers their top target this summer and are expected to make a formal approach soon, per Sky Sports News .  Villa have already lost Youri Tielemans to Manchester United, while Lucas Digne is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain.  Unai Emery’s side do not want to lose Rogers in the same transfer window , and with the forward under contract until 2031, they are in a strong negotiating position.  A transfer for the England international could cost Arsenal a fee well over £100 million.  It remains to be seen whether the North London club would meet such a high valuation.  Arsenal have already agreed a £34m fee for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis , but the move won’t impact their pursuit of the Villa star.  Rogers has significantly enhanced his reputation as one of the best young forwards since joining the Midlands outfit in 2024.  He played an instrumental role in Villa’s Europa League triumph in 2025-26, scoring a goal and assisting another in the final against SC Freiburg.  The 23-year-old amassed 55 appearances across all competitions last season, bagging 14 goals and 12 assists in the process.  He also featured six times for England at the World Cup 2026, recording two assists.  Stats from Transfermarkt
