Hearts agree deal to sign Forest Green captain Mendy

The midfielder has been on the Tynecastle side's wanted list for the past two transfer windows, with the club having had a bid turned down in January. However, Hearts have now finally struck a deal for the 29-year-old French-born player. Mendy joined Forest Green in 2025 from Macclesfield and played 47 games last season for the English National League side. Talks regarding personal terms are now under way as Hearts prepare for the first leg of their Champions League second-round qualifier against Sturm Graz on Tuesday (19:30 BST).
