Barcelona refuse to give up on Julian Alvarez but activate backup transfer plan – Romano

Barcelona refuse to give up on Julian Alvarez but activate backup transfer plan – Romano Barcelona remain fully committed to signing Julian Alvarez, but the club is no longer putting all of their eggs in one basket.  With Atletico Madrid continuing to block any move for the Argentine forward , the Catalan giants have already begun exploring alternative options across Europe. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano , the latest Barcelona transfer news is that the club has initiated contact with other attacking targets in case their ambitious pursuit of Alvarez ultimately fails, although no names have been mentioned by the journalist.  Even so, Barcelona have not abandoned their priority target and are preparing for one final attempt to convince Atletico Madrid to negotiate. The coming days are expected to be decisive as Joan Laporta, Deco, and Barcelona’s sporting department look to resolve one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer. Barcelona pushing for Alvarez despite Atletico’s resistance Barcelona’s position has remained unchanged throughout the window, with Julian Alvarez their preferred signing to strengthen Hansi Flick’s attack. Once that period ends, Barcelona intend to reopen negotiations. The club plans to speak once again with Alvarez, his representatives and Atletico Madrid in a final effort to determine whether a transfer remains achievable before the end of July. Club president Joan Laporta has already indicated that Barcelona expect to reach a definitive verdict on their proposal before the month concludes . According to Romano, the Spanish club continues to make the operation “really difficult,” maintaining the same stance in both public statements and private discussions. Barcelona activate Plan B as transfer uncertainty grows Despite their determination, Barcelona are preparing for every possible outcome. On that note, the club has already begun contacting several alternative attacking targets around Europe should the Julian Alvarez to Barcelona transfer fail to materialise. No names have yet been disclosed, but the motive is pretty much clear. Rather than waiting until negotiations completely collapse, Barcelona’s recruitment team is ensuring they have viable options ready if they are forced to move in another direction.
