Man Utd publish JJ Gabriel training pic before Norway trip

[Getty Images] Manchester United published some fresh training pictures on Tuesday as they gear up for their latest pre-season game against Norwegian side Rosenborg on Friday. There was a notable addition among those who trained compared to the 25-man squad head coach Michael Carrick took to Helsinki for the 1-0 defeat by Wrexham on Saturday. Fifteen-year-old forward JJ Gabriel was shown training with Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven. It remains to be seen whether the England youth international is part of Carrick's squad for the Trondheim trip but it had been expected coming out of last season he would get some first-team exposure. Despite only being 14 at the start of the campaign, Gabriel was named the Premier Under-18 League's player of the year last term and also United's club under-18 player of the year. He scored 26 goals as United reached the FA Youth Cup final and the Premier League Under-18 Cup final, although they frustratingly finished on the losing side in both. In addition to Gabriel, it will be interesting to see if new arrival Tynan Thompson travels to Trondheim given United's World Cup contingent will all still be missing.
