Schalke head coach delighted with blockbuster Robin Gosens transfer: “He will elevate all of us.” Schalke 04 head coach Miron Muslic has had an opportunity to express his pure delight at the new club signing of Robin Gosens. The story itself is the stuff of fairy tales. Gosens (32) receives a chance to play for the Bundesliga outfit he dreamed of representing as a child. Muslic, meanwhile, receives a top quality wide-man eager to finally prove himself in the German top flight.  Robin Gosens speaks on fulfilling his dream “ I’m very proud and indescribably happy, ” Gosens noted at his Friday introduction in Gelsenkirchen. “ Do consider yourselves warned that this is about to get cheesy. When I walked up the steps to this arena with my godfather at age six, it was clear to me: I want to do that someday, too. I hadn’t had anything to do with football before that. But something happened to me in that moment. From then on, I was a different kid. “ Schalke made me start dreaming of becoming a professional football player, ” Gosens continued. “ Schalke introduced me to football and will hopefully make sure I can end my career here. I don’t really have any other big plans. For me, it’s the perfect place. It’s huge to me that my career comes full circle. “ Schalke belongs in the Bundesliga with its stature and its fans, ” Gosens concluded. “ The goal should and must be to establish a long-term presence in the top flight. As a Schalke fan myself, I have internalized that mentality. I also know what’s expected and required. “ Miron Muslic just as enthusiastic “ Robin was determined to play for Schalke, ” Schalke’s head coach told reporters after Schalke’s second pre-season friendly on Saturday, in which Gosens actually didn’t feature. “ He gave up a lot for this opportunity. One immediately senses that he brings a special charisma and aura. His heart beats for Schalke and he will elevate all of us. “ Schalke’s first big friendly of the season comes on July 25th against Fagiano Okayama.  One can lay safe money on Gosens – having been fully integrated – earning a start in that fixture.
