Al-Hilal end pursuit of Barcelona winger after sealing Premier League forward for £55 million Barcelona appear to have received a significant boost in their efforts to keep Raphinha at the club, with Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal ending their pursuit of the Brazilian after completing a move for another winger. According to SPORT , the Saudi club have withdrawn from the race to sign Raphinha after securing an agreement to bring in Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United.  The development effectively brings to a close one of the most closely followed Barcelona transfer stories of the summer, while also strengthening the Brazilian’s desire to remain at the Camp Nou under Hansi Flick. Despite weeks of speculation linking Raphinha with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, the winger is understood to have remained firm on his stance throughout the transfer window, making it clear that his priority has always been to continue at Barcelona. The report states that the 29-year-old consistently prioritised staying with Barcelona.  The opportunity to continue competing in La Liga and the Champions League outweighed any financial incentive offered from Saudi Arabia. That position ultimately left Al-Hilal with little choice but to explore other options in the transfer market. Al-Hilal end Raphinha chase With Raphinha unwilling to leave Barcelona, Al-Hilal have now redirected their attention elsewhere. As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi club have reached a full agreement to sign Crysencio Summerville from West Ham.  The deal is expected to be worth £55 million in guaranteed fees, with a further £10 million in performance-related add-ons, after the Dutch winger approved the transfer and authorised his medical examination. The arrival of Summerville fills the left-wing position Al-Hilal had spent much of the summer trying to strengthen through their pursuit of Raphinha.  As a result, their interest in the Barcelona attacker has now come to an end, bringing clarity to one of the club’s biggest transfer sagas.
