About the signing, Andrea Berta said , “Christos is an extremely versatile attacking player who naturally operates on the left but is comfortable across the front line. He’s an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces, and possesses incredible technical ability.” “Christos has produced outstanding numbers in terms of goals and assists over the last three seasons, and he’s a player who will raise the technical level of our squad, while bringing positive energy, enthusiasm, and a strong mentality to our team.” “We’re confident Christos will make a significant contribution to our club, and we hope our supporters will enjoy watching him play in an Arsenal shirt.” “We look forward to sharing this exciting new chapter together.” Tzolis added , “I need some time to realise, I think!” he said. “It’s absolutely amazing to sign for such a big club, the champions of England. I’m very proud to be part of this team for the next season.”. Tzolis joins Arsenal after making it clear earlier this year that a move to north London would be his preferred destination, despite attracting interest from several clubs during the summer. “My future club? Haha, I don’t know!” he said. “I hope that they [Arsenal] come for me. But honestly, I don’t know. If Arsenal come, it would be a privilege for every player to play for [them].” The move has been overseen by Berta, while Arsenal recruitment specialist Maurizio Micheli was among those watching Tzolis in action for Greece against Sweden last month. Tzolis arrives after an exceptional 2025-26 campaign, scoring 17 league goals and providing 23 assists. Across all competitions, he registered 51 goal contributions in 52 appearances, highlighting both his finishing ability and creative influence. His impact also extended onto the European stage, where he contributed to five goals during Champions League qualifying before adding another three goal contributions in the competition itself. Arsenal’s latest addition strengthens Mikel Arteta ‘s attacking options with a player entering his prime years, one who arrives on the back of the most productive season of his career and having already made clear his desire to wear the club’s colours.
