Serie A club enter race to sign 18-year-old Real Madrid wonderkid on loan – report Serie A side Fiorentina have become the latest club to express interest in Real Madrid youngster Franco Mastantuono, adding their name to a growing list of teams hoping to secure the Argentine on loan for the 2026-27 season. Indeed, according to CalcioMercato (h/t AS ), Fiorentina have made initial enquiries with Real Madrid over a temporary deal for the Argentine teenager as they look to strengthen their squad with a winger or attacking midfielder ahead of the new campaign. In demand Fiorentina are among a host of clubs across Europe vying to sign Mastantuono on loan in the ongoing summer transfer window. Meanwhile, more than five clubs in La Liga have shown an interest in the youngster who endured a topsy-turvy debut season in Europe during 2025/26. Decision still pending For now, no final decision has been made. Mastantuono remains part of Jose Mourinho’s squad and continues to train with the first team during pre-season. In case of a departure, Real Madrid are only willing to consider a temporary move, as they have no intention of losing control of a player they invested €63.2 million in last summer.
