There’s no need to change things up too dramatically, and they’ve been very patient in this summer’s transfer window so far. That’s a good thing – but it may have cost them a potential superstar here. The Parisians have been linked with RB Leipzig starlet Yan Diomande for a while, and the talk all summer has been that he’s keen to join. But he won’t wait forever – and it now seems like Real Madrid are going to come in hard and get the job done. Madrid more willing to break the bank than cautious PSG RMC Sport journalist Santi Aouna claimed just an hour ago that Diomande has given his green light to Madrid, and that a deal worth around €120m is being worked on. PSG had apparently agreed personal terms with Diomande, but aren’t willing to “overpay” and hit the crazy levels Madrid clearly are. Some fans may be frustrated by the Parisians’ reluctance to match their European rivals in the market, but most will have faith in sporting director Luis Campos’ judgement. In other news… Reports from L’Equipe say that Luis Enrique has already agreed a contract extension, which has yet to be fully announced.
