Liverpool reject chance to sign Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior
Liverpool reject chance to sign Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has been offered to Liverpool, according to journalist Ben Jacobs . Vinicius could leave Madrid this summer as he is in the final months of his contract and the Spanish giants are determined not to lose him for free. Jacobs claims the 26-year-old’s representatives have now reached out to Liverpool to explore a move. However, the Reds are not interested in the Brazil international as they are focused on strengthening their right wing. Arsenal are also considering a move for the Brazilian, but have not contacted Madrid to explore a deal. Saudi Pro League side (SPL) Al Ahli are ready to make an approach for Vinicius as well if given encouragement by the forward. Vinicius has been consistent at the highest level for several seasons, helping Madrid win several titles. He has also scored 128 goals and provided 100 assists in 375 appearances for the club. Despite his consistency, Kylian Mbappe has usurped him as the club’s main man. The France international is reportedly Madrid’s joint-highest earner alongside Vinicius . The Brazil international reportedly wants to become Los Blancos’ highest-paid player , but Madrid appear not prepared to meet his demands. Vinicius would not be short of suitors should Madrid be open to a sale, but it remains to be seen which European club would be ready to offer him a lucrative contract. The SPL would be ready to hand Vinicius a huge deal, having reportedly offered him a five year €1 billion (£854m) contract last year. Madrid may not need to sign another left winger if Vinicius eventually leaves the club, should they conclude a deal for RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande , who is capable of playing on the left flank.
