No Exeter signings unless players sold - Taylor

The Grecians, who have suffered from financial constraints in the past year, have brought in three free transfers over the summer. But the side, who were relegated from League One in May, have seen seven experienced first team players leave including captain Pierce Sweeney and Finland international Ilmari Niksanen. "There's a market where loans can be either free loans or incredibly cheap," Taylor explained to BBC Radio Devon. "We're still in the market, but we're not active in terms of a financial market as it stands. "So we're preparing ourselves if nothing changes this is the group we're going to work with moving forward. "But then there could be movement as well, and I'm not in the know of if and when that will come, that's for other clubs to decide. "But that's our current situation and I've been comfortable with that from day one "I know the squad still needs help and still needs strengthening, but the club are doing all they possibly can to give us a chance of being competitive." Cole did not feature in Exeter's 2-0 pre-season win at Weston-Super-Mare on Saturday due to illness, but Wareham did. The 23-year-old striker scored 22 goals in 53 appearances last season and has been the subject of speculation linking him with a move away from St James Park. "There's always going to be noise about Jayden," added Taylor. "As it stands there's nothing official, there's nothing in pen and paper, so it will stay as noise until that changes. "There's been a bit of movement in that forward market, and we still expect it might come for Jayden and we hope it will come for Jayden because he was one of the top scorers in League One and one of the top players in League One last season.
