Newcastle United sign Manchester United keeper Rendell on loan Newcastle United have completed the signing of Manchester United keeper Kayla Rendell on a loan deal for the 2026/2027 season. WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Magpies this morning. The 25-year-old makes the move to Tyneside in a bid to get some regular football under her belt. Rendell has spent the last 18 months with Manchester United after joining the club from Southampton in the January 2025 transfer window. Her game time has been limited with The Red Devils to date. The keeper started out at Southampton where she made 134 competitive appearances in all competitions. She was a FA Women’s National League Championship Play-Off Final winner with The Saints in 2021/2022. On the international stage, Rendell has received call-ups to the England senior squad. She is still awaiting her debut for the Lionesses. After joining Newcastle United, Rendell said “The name speaks for itself, it’s a massive club with a lot of ambition. It was exciting for me to join this part of the journey. I want to help the squad progress to the next level. “Everyone knows what Newcastle fans are like, I’m excited to be on the Newcastle side and hopefully they can get behind us again this season.” Rendell is Newcastle United’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
