The 25-year-old arrives at St Andrew's for an undisclosed fee, becoming Blues' fourth signing of the summer. After starting his career with Boca Juniors, where he helped the club win the top-flight title in 2022, Vazquez joined Anderlecht the following summer, went on to make more than 100 appearances and was part of their Europa League campaign in 2024-25. He spent the second half of last season on loan in Spain with Getafe, scoring three goals in 17 games in La Liga. Birmingham boss Chris Davies said Vazquez would bring a "different profile" to the club's attack and add a "another dimension to the squad". Davies has now added Vazquez to the recruitment of defender Dael Fry and Brighton goalkeeper James Beadle on another loan, while the loan move of midfielder Jhon Solis has also been made permanent .
