Over the past few years, the Blaugrana have seen several young academy talents make it big with even the World Cup-winning Spanish contingent having good representation. Hansi Flick has again used the pre-season as an audition for the young talents , and some players are already catching the management’s eye as strong options for next season. Talented trio impress As brought to light by Victor Navarro in a recent update, three La Masia stars in particular have caught the management’s eye in the pre-season so far. Barcelona are extremely pleased with what they are seeing and all three players are likely to have prominence in the team’s friendly games in England. Their performances in those outings could potentially seal a role of some capacity in the first team. Strong outings in the first friendly Diarra is a strong and fast winger who provides a good transitional threat and has a strong ability on the ball. Despite being left-footed, he is comfortable playing on both flanks and is known for his creative output. The youngster scored Barcelona’s opening goal in the recent 4-1 friendly win over Europa, and thus made his presence felt as a difference maker . Ebrima Tunkara – one of La Masia’s best. He too came off the bench to feature in the friendly and scored in the second half. The third name, Alex Gonzalez, scored the team’s final goal on the night and is known as a versatile attacker who can drift in from either flank. Having joined the club only in April, the winger has already made a big impression . His positioning and movement in the box are his biggest strengths, but his physicality has been described as a small limitation. It remains to be seen whether the three players continue to make an impression in the remainder of pre-season and are able to earn a spot in the first-team dynamics.
