Bradley Barcola’s potential move to Liverpool is inching ever closer. Today, the well respected Loic Tanzi from L’Equipe has written that the winger has spoken to Andoni Iraola and has given his “agreement in principle” to the Reds. PSG and Liverpool face potentially drawn-out battle over Barcola price While the two clubs are “in discussions”, they’re also “still far from reaching an agreement,” according to the same piece. “The French winger, who has been in contact in recent days with several Liverpool executives as well as with manager Andoni Iraola, hopes the two clubs will reach an agreement allowing him to experience the Premier League,” they write. “As reported in our pages this Tuesday morning, Liverpool’s management has begun discussions with their Parisian counterparts. PSG, now open to a departure, remains firm on its financial demands. The gap remains significant.” Given PSG are asking for £140m, that’s probably no surprise. There could be a very long and attritional battle as the two sides try and find some common ground. Then it will be down to PSG to find a replacement… In other news… Talk of signing Rodri always seemed fanciful, and now it’s been all but confirmed that PSG won’t be in the race for the Man City star. Ousmane Dembele is getting closer to a new contract at PSG , with the Parisians ready to commit their star attacker to a longer deal.
