Portuguese veteran has never been a priority for Barcelona Despite speculation surrounding Bernardo Silva’s future, Barcelona are not treating the Portuguese international as a priority target this summer.  According to Mundo Deportivo , the Catalan club remains relaxed about the situation and is not planning to accelerate any move for the experienced midfielder. Bernardo Silva has found himself linked with a switch to Camp Nou , while reports have also connected him with both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in recent days.  However, Barcelona’s position appears far less dramatic than the growing transfer rumours suggest. The report indicates that the initiative has largely come from the player’s side, with the midfielder making himself available after deciding to leave Manchester City. While Silva would undoubtedly add quality and experience, the club do not consider midfield reinforcement their most urgent need at this stage of the transfer window. Instead, resources are being directed towards positions viewed as more important to the project heading into the new season. Notably, that does not mean the door is closed. As a free agent, the Portuguese represents an attractive option and a low-risk opportunity should circumstances change later in the summer.  However, Barcelona are unwilling to alter their transfer strategy simply because a high-profile player has become available.
