Colchester goalkeeper Smith signs new deal
Colchester have agreed a new deal to keep goalkeeper Tom Smith at the club. Smith played just seven games for the League Two outfit last season before suffering a thigh injury in February and missing the remainder of the campaign. The 24-year-old was out of contract this summer but had been expected back for pre-season training and negotiations on a new contract only to suffer a burst appendix which delayed the process for a few weeks. Smith started his career with Arsenal and signed for Colchester in 2023. The club have not disclosed the length of the new deal. All the latest Colchester United news
