Manchester City target Marseille goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli
Manchester City target Marseille goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli Manchester City are reportedly keen to sign Olympique de Marseille goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli (34), according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. Such a move would mark a return for the Argentine, who was on loan at the Cityzens between August 2016 and January 2017, but never had the opportunity to represent them in an official match. He may soon have the chance to do so, as he is being targeted to fill the gap left by the likely future departure of James Trafford (23), who is seeking more playing time, and to become the backup to Gianluigi Donnarumma (27). Although he remains under contract with Marseille – who are aware of Manchester City’s approach – until 2027, Rulli is reportedly keen on the idea of joining Pep Guardiola’s side. At 34, the La Plata-born goalkeeper could thus leave France two years after settling there. As the Olympique’s first-choice goalkeeper, Rulli has made 73 appearances between the posts, conceding 99 goals and keeping 14 clean sheets across all competitions. GFFN | Léo Aschi
