The 30-year-old was the number two keeper as the Dons secured promotion back to League One last season. The Owls have the option of extending the contract by one year. Trueman began his senior career at Birmingham City in 2014 after coming through the Blues' youth system and, after a sequence of loans, moved to Millwall in 2022. He spent three seasons at The Den without making an appearance. Wednesday's sporting director Simon Wilson said Trueman "arrives with terrific references on and off the pitch - he is a talented goalkeeper and another great character to add to the group". Wilson added: "He was part of a promotion-winning team last year and understands the daily standard required to be successful."
