Watford sign former Arsenal full-back Gray

Watford sign former Arsenal full-back Gray Watford FC have completed the signing of full-back Eva Gray on a permanent deal. WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Golden Girls this afternoon. The 18-year-old full-back returns to Watford following a successful spell with the club last season. Gray joined The Golden Girls on a dual-registration deal from Barclays Women’s Super League club Arsenal and helped Watford seal promotion to Barclays WSL2. The youngster was released by Arsenal earlier this summer and she has shown no hesitation in re-signing for Watford on a permanent basis. Gray made 16 appearances for Watford in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division last season in which she scored one goal.  She performed well throughout the campaign and landed Watford’s Young Player of the Season award at the club’s end of season awards ceremony.  The player will be hoping to make a similar impact for The Golden Girls at Barclays WSL2 level. On the international stage, Gray has represented England at Under-17 level. Gray is Watford’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window. The Golden Girls have put together a strong squad for their Barclays WSL2 return. Their squad looks to be nearing completion.
