Super-agent Jorge Mendes makes a lot of his money by moving players from club to club. But even he knows when he’s onto a good thing. And that’s just what he has at PSG. Two of his very top clients – his countrymen Joao Neves and Vitinha – are currently the heartbeat of the best team in Europe, fresh from winning back to back Champions League trophies. There have been some very unconvincing transfer links, with Real Madrid mentioned – but now Mendes has spoken out to make it very clear they’re going nowhere. Mendes speaks out over his clients future “Vitinha and João were never an option for anyone,” Mendes said in quotes picked up by Fabrizio Romano. “They are non-negotiable for Paris Saint-Germain and they are very, very happy in PSG — they will continue collecting trophies.” That sounds like the smart solution for both players and for PSG – and even for Mendes. Let’s hope nothing changes in that equation for a very long time, it’s working well for everyone involved. In other news… Ibrahim Mbaye has been linked with Premier League teams including Aston Villa, but we really can’t see the club accepting. If he’s willing to stay, we think he will. One PSG winger is looking ready to move on after a set of seasons mainly used as a rotation player. We can’t say we blame him, although he will be missed.
