Confirmed: Barcelona starting lineup against Birmingham City – Debut for Adeyemi FC Barcelona are set to take on Birmingham City today at St. Andrew’s in their second pre-season friendly heading into the 2026/27 season. Having defeated CE Europa in their first friendly before flying to England, the La Liga champions will be aiming to build on that and continue generating momentum before the start of the season. Adeyemi makes his debut With kickoff in Birmingham not very long away, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has announced the starting lineup that will be taking the field against the English club. And the big news is that summer signing Karim Adeyemi makes his debut for the club. The 22-year-old attacker was on the bench for the Europa clash, but has been thrust into the lineup by Flick tonight. Adeyemi starts on the right flank for the Blaugrana , while the rest of the frontline is completed by academy prospects Hamza Abdelkarim and Shane Kluivert. The presence of La Masia is even stronger in midfield where Marc Casado and Marc Bernal line up as the pivots while 16-year-old sensation Ebrima Tunkara takes up the attacking midfield role. Moving in to defence, Xavi Espart and Jofre Torrents start as the two full-backs for Barcelona, flanking the centre-back pair of Andreas Christensen and Gerard Martin. Veteran star Wojciech Szczesny mans the Barcelona goal. Club captain Ronald Araujo is among the substitutes and could get a chance later on as it is expected that Flick will make wholesale changes to the lineup at half-time.
