Dortmund and Como are understood to have reached a basic agreement on an initial loan deal, with the two clubs now working to finalise the remaining conditions. The discussions reportedly include the precise structure of a potential purchase option. No figures concerning the loan fee or a possible permanent transfer have yet been disclosed. The latest development represents a significant change following recent reporting from Sport Bild . The German tabloid claimed that the proposed move had temporarily collapsed because of substantial differences between the clubs regarding the financial terms of the deal. Those obstacles now appear to have been largely resolved, leaving Couto close to departing Dortmund after the prolonged transfer negotiations. A move to Como would offer the Brazilian an opportunity to secure more consistent playing time while returning to a league in which his attacking qualities from right-back could prove valuable.
