It appears the Catalans are looking to understand how much PSG are looking to shell out for the Spanish international, before taking a call on the player’s future. Although Barcelona have never shown any desire to sell Ferran, recent reports have indicated that the player could be allowed to leave if he wants . Barcelona, for their part, are not expecte to go out of their way to try and secure a new contract for the former Manchester City starlet. It must be noted that PSG are finding a replacement for Goncalo Ramos and the Spaniard fits the bill well, especially given his relationship with Enrique. Bendoni claims official talks between Barcelona and PSG are expected to start soon, in what will represent the first real step surrounding Ferran’s potential exit from Camp Nou this summer. If Ferran leaves, Barcelona are hoping to pocket at least €55 million, which in turn, could greatly help the Blaugrana in their pursuit of Alvarez, even though Atletico Madrid have always pointed to the player’s €500 million release clause. For now, though, Barcelona are waiting for Ferran to return from his extended break due to the World Cup, after which he is expected to take a final call on his future.
