Liverpool Are Confident About Recruiting This Paris Saint-Germain Winger: What Will He Bring To Anfield? Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast , journalist Pete O’Rourke revealed that Liverpool are confident about recruiting Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola this summer. O’Rourke said, “It’s a deal that obviously Liverpool are working hard to try and get done. He has become their top target as they want to bring in another winger before the close of the window. “Obviously they’ve been encouraged by the fact that he’s turned down a new contract to PSG and is open to a move to Anfield. Encouraging signs for Liverpool that they can get a deal done.” Barcola’s Impressive Form In Ligue 1 Barcola enjoyed a productive campaign at the French club recently as he managed to put in a run of impressive displays for them in Ligue 1. The 23-year-old scored 13 times and picked up seven assists in 49 matches for PSG last season across all fronts. The France international is currently one of the most feared wingers in world football. Hence, the Reds would do well to get a deal done for him in this transfer window. (Photo by Dan Mullan/Getty Images) His current contract at the French club will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Liverpool to land him on a cut-price deal this off-season. What Will Barcola Bring To Liverpool? Barcola can use his quickness to get in behind the opponent’s backline and is an excellent dribbler with the ball at his feet. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range. The French sensation can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Barcola mainly plays as a left-winger but can also operate as a right-sided wide player or a striker if needed. However, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League . Barcola would bring more pace and goals to Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola’s frontline. He is good enough to compete for a regular starting role at Anfield. At 23, Barcola will only improve with each season. Hence, he would be an excellent signing for the Reds to pull off in this transfer window. However, Iraola has to give him some time to adjust to life in England before he can get the best out of him at the Merseyside club.
