Club Brugge considering a move for Crystal Palace winger formerly of Millwall According to HLN , the difficulty of bringing in Noah Adedeji-Sternberg has forced Club Brugge to consider alternative options. One of those is Crystal Palace winger Romain Esse. The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Coventry and helped them in their long awaited return to the Premier League. Club Brugge are also interested in Edmund Baidoo as a winger, but it is likely they will only sign one of the three players mentioned. Esse began his career with Millwall in south London, making 66 appearances for the side and scoring seven goals. In January of 2025 he left the Championship club to sign for Crystal Palace. Esse has played 17 games for Crystal Palace since joining, scoring one goal in the 2024/2025 Premier League season. With limited time available at Crystal Palace, Esse was sent out on loan to Coventry for the second half of the 2025/2026 season. He returned to Crystal Palace this summer having played 18 games for Coventry, scoring twice and providing one assist. Coventry now join Crystal Palace in the Premier League for the 2026/2027 season.
