A deal between the two clubs has already been agreed and the player is set to have his medical with the Spanish side on Tuesday (August 4). The 29-year-old has spent the past two-and-a-half seasons in the Italian capital with Roma, having joined on an initial loan deal from RB Leipzig during the winter of the 2023-24 season. His stay was made permanent at a cost of €5m in the summer of 2024. He has since gone on to make 80 appearances across all competitions for the Giallorossi, including 68 in Serie A.
