Evaluations have to be made on the basis of the resources available.” Turning to Juventus’s search for a goalkeeper, Buffon offered a clear endorsement of Guglielmo Vicario. “He was with us in the national team for three or four years, he won the Europa League with Tottenham and had an important spell in the Premier League. He offers ample guarantees,” he said. On Zion Suzuki, he was diplomatically guarded: “There’s an age difference, and then other differences that I know but don’t think it’s right to say publicly.”
